‘By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established’ Proverbs 24:3
Our life as a community is centred around a rhythm of corporate prayer and worship.
Every weekday morning and evening there are services in which we praise God, listen to scripture and bring to God all that is on our hearts. It’s a discipline we are committed to, but it also shapes who we are and the roots we want to put down.
Most services take place in St John’s College Chapel which is the ancient church of St Mary the Less. They are normally led by Cranmer Hall students but are open to all members of the wider St John’s College community. The chapel is available outside service times for prayer and it is a beautiful space for quiet and reflection.
Each Tuesday during term there is a College Communion service in which the wider college community gathers for worship and often a visiting preacher.
There are regular quiet days throughout term, one of which takes place away from college.
