We are delighted to offer up to ten Cranmer Scholarships for students beginning a course of study in 2025. A recent national church review described us as a place ‘where academic rigour is carefully married with formational excellence’.
The Cranmer MA Scholarship carries a value of up to £5,250 p.a. and the Cranmer BA Scholarship a value of up to £4,800 p.a., paid towards the tuition fee. The Scholarships will be awarded to candidates from any denomination or network, who are not eligible for funding from their denomination or the Student Loans Company, and who are able to demonstrate one or more of the following:

Exploring a call to ministry or theological education

From the North East, or wishing to serve within the North East

First generation of their family to enter higher education

Of Global Majority Heritage

From a lower income background or household
Scholarships are tenable for the duration of the course of study, subject to an annual review confirming satisfactory completion of academic requirements. Students studying part-time will be eligible to apply for a Scholarship award up to 50% of the value of the relevant tuition fee.
