Bishop of Carlisle to give lecture at Cranmer Hall

The Bishop of Carlisle, Rt Revd James Newcome, will be delivering a lecture called ‘Assisted Dying: a Christian Response’ at Cranmer Hall on the 23rd April.

Bishop James Newcome acts as the Church of England’s spokesperson on health care matters and is also chair of the College Council of St Johns College. He has spoken widely on the need to offer the greatest pastoral care to those facing severe illness, whilst facing the serious drawbacks to proposals to legalise what is sometimes called ‘assisted dying.’

All welcome to this event.

23 April, 4.30 to 5.45 pm, Leech Hall, St Johns College, 3 South Bailey, Durham.
