Canon Alison White named as new Bishop of Hull

We are delighted to learn of the appointment of Canon Alison White, graduate and former tutor of Cranmer Hall, as Suffragan Bishop of Hull in the Archdiocese of York.

Alison studied at Cranmer Hall in the 1980’s and returned in 1993 to serve for five years as Director of Mission and Pastoral Studies. She has been highly influential in the formation of clergy and leaders in this and other contexts, and we are deeply grateful for the many gifts of grace she has brought to this community. Her appointment is wonderful news for the church and for the Diocese.
