Theology for Everyone – a Theology of Friendship – Saturday 10 November, 9am-1pm, with Revd Dr Lina Toth. BOOK NOW!

“Closer than a Brother”: A Theology of Friendship with Lina Toth

Saturday 10 November, 9am-1pm, at Stockton Baptist Church, The Square, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1TE.

What does it mean to have friends – or to be a good friend? Is Christian friendship distinctive, and if so, how? In a culture where loneliness is on the rise, how could the church respond? Come along to explore all these questions and much more with Lina Toth, who has spoken and written widely on friendship.

The Revd Dr Lina Toth was born in Lithuania, and has degrees in Theology and English from the Lithuania Christian College and Theology from the University of Wales. She has worked in a variety of roles at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague, and since 2014 has been on the staff of the Scottish Baptist College. A musician and artist as well as a theologian, she remains involved in the wider church life, and is particularly interested in exploring various aspects of ethics, spirituality, and theology of culture.

Theology for Everyone aims to help ordinary Christians think biblically and relevantly about important and awesome topics to do with God and his world. It really is for everyone: you don’t need to have studied theology (or anything else!), or to have come before, or to come again (though we’d love it if you did!).

Single session (pay online): £10 / £5 book here

Single session (pay on door): £12 / £6a theology of friendship (2)
