New Director of Formation and Mixed Mode Training at Cranmer Hall! Revd Steve Muneza

We are delighted to announce the appointment of the Revd Steve Muneza as the new Director of Formation and Mixed-Mode Training at Cranmer Hall, St John’s College, Durham.

Steve is currently Associate Minister in the North Durham Team and is also completing a PhD in Ethics and Entrepreneurship.

Steve will oversee the existing placement programme at Cranmer Hall which enables students to experience an unrivalled range of mission and ministry contexts. He will also lead the new Mixed-Mode Pathway launching this autumn, which is designed to give students the best of residential theological training and an in-depth experience of a local missional church.

Commenting on the appointment Philip Plyming, Warden of Cranmer Hall, said ‘I am thrilled that Steve is taking up this exciting new role at Cranmer Hall. Steve brings great experience of both the local and worldwide church together with a track record of making new things happen. I thank God for someone of Steve’s theological insight and godly character to lead this new chapter in our vocation of growing Christlike missional leaders for the region and beyond.’

David Tomlinson, Senior Resourcing Church Leader for Durham Diocese, which is supporting the new Mixed-Mode Pathway, added ‘I am delighted to welcome Steve, someone I have discovered to be a man of wisdom, of passion for the gospel, and demonstrating the kind of clear vocation and understanding which will inspire those he leads.’

Steve Muneza, said, ‘I am grateful to God and honoured by the opportunity to serve this new inspiring vision that integrates the existing placement programme and the new Mixed-Mode Pathway. I look forward to joining Cranmer Hall’s team in building on existing and new partnerships that enable ministerial formation and training of future Church leaders.’

Steve will be taking up the new post at the beginning of July.
