I pray that the new Warden will continue the ethos of warm welcome, diversity and inclusivity…and do so with humour and humility.
Micah 6:8 ~ He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
God of wisdom, we pray for a servant leader, a wise steward of authority and a gentle friend of learning.
Lord may the new Warden have a clear sense of calling to Cranmer and be blessed with a vision to marry their gifts and skills with the exciting culture and ethos of this amazing community.
Praying for a person in whom the fruit of the spirit is evident – along with wisdom, vision and energy.
That the new Warden may maintain their faithfulness to their primary calling to be your disciple, and lead us in the same.
Lord God, you know our hopes for a new Warden – for excellence, wisdom, insightfulness and a pastoral heart. But more than anything, may they be secure in their identity as Your loved child.
A person who is ambitious for God’s Kingdom and has a desire to proclaim the name of Jesus.
Almighty God,
you did so bless your Church
with the mighty teaching institution of Cranmer Hall,
that all those who walked her corridors
were daily formed to the pattern of perfection in your Son.
Guide and bless your humble servant who comes trembling
before the majesty of so awesome a post,
that they and all they shepherd
through the valley of the shadow of education
may arrive unscathed at the pastures beyond final deadlines,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
