Undergraduate Study
Here you’ll find a list of all our available undergraduate programmes.
We are committed to excellence of provision in all areas of training, and pay particular attention, wherever possible, to tailoring courses to the needs of individuals. Most students on the courses are full time, although many travel into Durham daily or weekly to study. There is also a possibility of taking the courses part time.
The teaching programme follows the University terms which run from late September to early December, early January to mid-March and late April to early June. Most undergraduate teaching is delivered on a weekly basis from Monday to Wednesday during the day with a small number of optional modules on Thursdays. Some modules are taught in blocks of three to five days, usually in early October, the second week in December and the first two weeks in the Easter term (late April to early May).
Pathways
Most of the modules you take in a course will be the same as other people in your year, but there are specialised modules which are designed for students on different pathways. Some modules are designed especially for Church of England ordinands, others for those training within the Free Church pathway and still others for those who are focusing on work with children and young people. In the sections below, further information is provided on the Foundation, the Certificate, the Diploma and the BA, the Department Degree as well as the special pathway for those focusing on work with children and young people.

Cranmer Hall offers four courses at undergraduate level:
